Support
Something not working, or a question the app didn't answer? Write to us — a person reads every message. Below the contact details you'll find the answers we give most often.
Get in touch
Email support@getequerry.app. This reaches us directly, and it works even if you can't open the app.
From inside the app: Profile → Settings → Support → Contact support. That form attaches your app version, device, and iOS version automatically, which usually saves a round-trip.
When you'll hear back. We aim to reply within two business days, and usually it's sooner. If something needs digging into, we'll tell you that rather than go quiet.
What helps us help you. Tell us what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. If you're writing by email rather than through the in-app form, tell us which iPhone you're using, your iOS version, and the Equerry version from Settings → About. Please don't paste private notes or documents into a support message — we don't need them to fix most things, and we'd rather they stayed yours.
Using Equerry
What is Equerry?
Equerry is a personal assistant on your iPhone and iPad. You send it the things you'd otherwise have to remember — a forwarded email, a note, a photo of a receipt, a PDF, a link, a voice memo — and it holds on to them. Later you can ask it anything about what you've sent, and it answers with the source it used. It also runs Routines: short, scheduled pieces of work you set up once and then stop thinking about.
How do I send things to Equerry?
Five ways, all of them things you already know how to do:
- Forward an email. Every account gets its own address at
mail.getequerry.app— you'll find yours in the app. Forward a confirmation, a contract, a newsletter, a thread from a client, and it lands in seconds. - Share from any app. Tap the iOS share sheet, choose Equerry, and whatever you're looking at goes in — a webpage, a document, a screenshot.
- Type a note straight into the app.
- Record a voice note. Equerry transcribes it and the transcript becomes searchable.
- Add a photo or a PDF. Receipts, letters, scanned pages, whiteboards — the text inside them is read and remembered.
What is a Routine?
A Routine is a standing instruction that runs on a schedule so you don't have to ask. A Morning Brief summarizes what matters that day. Meeting Prep puts a briefing in your hand before your next meeting, built from your calendar and what you've already saved. A Watcher pings you when a topic you care about moves. A Reminder arrives with the context attached, not just the nudge. And you can describe a Routine of your own in plain language — no setup screens, no rules to build.
Meeting Prep needs permission to read your calendar. You're asked once, when you save a Routine that needs it. With your permission, Equerry keeps a snapshot of your next two weeks of events on its servers — titles, times, locations, and attendee names, never event notes or email addresses — and replaces it each time it syncs. You can withdraw the permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Why does Equerry ask to send notifications?
So it can tell you when something you forwarded has arrived, when a Routine has something for you, and when your monthly usage limit is running low. Notifications are optional and adjustable — Settings → Notifications lets you switch off any category and set quiet hours.
Which devices does Equerry run on?
iPhone and iPad. There's no Mac app. Everything you save syncs across your devices through your own iCloud account, so a note taken on your phone is there on your iPad.
What Equerry remembers
How do I see what Equerry has remembered?
Open Settings → Your memory. It's a plain, searchable list of every fact Equerry has drawn out of the things you've sent it, newest first, each one showing where it came from and when. Nothing is hidden from you.
You can also work backwards from a single item: tap any saved note and expand "What Equerry remembered" to see exactly what was taken from it. And in a conversation, tapping a source chip under an answer shows you the precise passage the answer was built on, with a 👍 / 👎 you can use to tell Equerry when it got the wrong end of something.
How do I delete something it remembered?
One tap. In Settings → Your memory, swipe or tap through to delete any single remembered fact — it goes immediately, with no confirmation theater and no "are you sure" maze. Deleting a whole note removes the note and everything derived from it.
This is deliberate. An assistant you can't audit isn't one you'd trust with a client relationship, so seeing and pruning what's remembered is a first-class part of the app rather than a buried setting.
I sent something in and Equerry doesn't seem to know about it.
Every item in your list carries a small status dot showing where it is: still processing, searchable, a duplicate of something you'd already saved, or failed. Tap the dot to see what happened, and to retry if it failed. New items need a moment and a connection to finish processing — if you were offline when you saved something, it'll queue and go through once you're back on. If it's still stuck, write to us and we'll look at it directly.
Subscription and billing
What does Equerry cost?
New accounts start with a free demo, so you can try Equerry properly before deciding. After that, Equerry Pro is $19.99 per month or $169 per year. The yearly plan includes one month free for first-time subscribers — the App Store shows you the exact terms, and the exact price in your currency, before you confirm anything. Subscriptions renew automatically through your Apple ID unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
What is the monthly usage limit?
Pro includes a monthly usage limit that covers your questions, your forwarded email, your saved documents, and your Routines. Most people never reach it. In the app you'll see it as a simple percentage — Your Equerry · 64% — along with the date it refills, which happens every 30 days.
There's no per-action pricing and nothing to meter in your head. If you do reach the limit, Equerry rests until the next refill; your saved content and your memory are untouched and still searchable.
How do I cancel?
Apple handles all Equerry billing, so cancellation happens on your device, not through us: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Equerry → Cancel Subscription. It takes about ten seconds. There are no retention calls and no cancellation form.
We can't cancel a subscription on your behalf — Apple doesn't give us that ability, and we wouldn't want to charge you for a month you spent waiting on our reply. If the steps above don't work on your device, write to us and we'll walk you through it.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are Apple's to give, through reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't process payments and never see your card, so we can't issue one directly — but tell us what went wrong anyway. If it's something we broke, we want to know, and we'll support your request.
Can my family use my subscription?
Yes. Equerry Pro works with Apple Family Sharing — you plus up to five family members, on the one subscription. Everyone gets their own account, and each person's saved content, memory, Routines, and conversations are private to them; nobody in the family can see anyone else's. The monthly usage limit is shared across the group.
Your data
Where is my content stored?
Your raw content — the notes you write, the voice memos you record, the photos and PDFs you save — lives in your own iCloud account, not on our servers. Email you forward or CC passes through our email provider, gets turned into searchable excerpts, and is then deleted from that provider — the message itself is never stored in our database, and your copy stays in your mailbox. What we do hold is what's needed to make your content answerable: text excerpts and the facts drawn from it, all of which you can see and delete from inside the app. The full account is on our Privacy page, and the AI Disclosure page covers exactly which partners process your content and what they're contractually forbidden from doing with it. We don't sell your data and we don't allow training on it.
How do I export my data?
Settings → Account → Request data export. We assemble everything we hold on our side and email it to you as a single file within 30 days — usually much faster. Your notes, voice recordings, attachments, and conversations aren't in that file because they aren't ours to hold: they're in your iCloud already, and they stay yours whether or not you keep using Equerry.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete account. You'll confirm twice — deliberate friction, because it can't be undone. Your account and everything we hold on our servers is deleted, your local content is wiped from the device, and the deletion propagates to your other devices through iCloud within minutes.
One thing to know: deleting your account does not cancel your subscription, because Apple owns billing. Cancel first, in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, then delete the account.
